Who the hell do we think we are?
The Crone Network is a self-funded project aimed at improving the lives of older women by creating face-to-face connections, offering creative outlets, providing useful information and resources, and by giving them a safe space for personal storytelling.
Where it all started
This project was inspired by the older women I met through social media. So many are struggling to make ends meet, while others feel isolated and alone.
Maybe these women are caretakers who need a break, or maybe they're suffering from the "Who am I now?" syndrome that we feel after raising a family or retiring from worklife.
We need each other.
And we need each other outside of the little white boxes we have on social media.
The Crone Network® was created to help make those connections and to provide information that can improve the lives of older women. We are building a Crone Community.
Our Founding Principles...
Respect everyone all the time
Everyone must have a voice
Be genuine, no head games
Practice fairness in all things
Enter with an open mind
Our mission...
We are on a community building mission to provide older women with safe space to make face-to-face connections. We offer creative outlets and inspiring personal stories, along with useful resources designed to improve the lives of the Crone Community.
Our vision...
The Crone Network® relies on the thoughts, ideas, teachings, and inspiration of older women, but our network is open to all who appreciate our experience and wisdom.
Some of our long-term goals include -
A marketplace for Crones to sell their wares
A robust Citizen Crone section designed to inform and empower
Co-housing opportunities
Benevolence fund
Money-saved "how to"s
Interest focused groups like travel, reading, textile arts, social chats
Our style...
We are casual, honest, and a bit feisty.
