Who the hell do we think we are?
We are women coming together to build a lively Crone Community of connections and resources. The Crone Network aims to be a powerful tool for supporting, validating, and enriching the lives of women living in Cronehood. We are volunteers, donating a bit of our time to help others through storytelling and creativity. Accepting each other with understanding and grace, we dare to talk about unspoken truths, using our voices without shame or judgement. We are looking for volunteers to contribute a time and effort to The Crone Network project. If you're interested in getting involved, just get in touch so we can discuss all the amazing possibilities in our future. Gratefully, Diane, your Feisty Old Hag
Where it all started
Truth be told, I was scared shitless. No roadmap, no safety net, just me fumbling through the chaos and hoping I didn’t face-plant too hard. But here’s the thing—fear didn’t mean stop, it meant go. Every shaky step, every “what the hell am I doing” moment, that’s where the magic started.
Our Founding Principles...
- Respect everyone all the time
- Everyone must have a voice
- Be genuine, no head games
- Practice fairness in all things
- Enter with an open mind
Our mission...
The Crone Network is a not-for-profit social network created by and for older women, encouraging thought provoking conversations and shared experiences, providing Crones with a network of useful resources, and offering opportunities to connect in real time through in-person gatherings and internet meetups.
Our vision...
The Crone Network relies on the thoughts, ideas, participation, teachings, and inspiration of older women. We generally define a Crone as a woman past her child-bearing years, but our network is open to all who appreciate our experience and wisdom.
Our long-term goals are a marketplace for Crones to sell their handmade goods, regular scheduled gatherings, a robust Citizen Crone section to inform us about legislation affecting our community, and, ultimately, a real estate non-profit that buys properties to house small groups of Crones.
We invite readers and crafters, doers and thinkers, Crones who are adventurous and those who like their feet on the ground. Ghost hunters and novel writers, you are welcome here.
Our vision is to provide a comprehensive network of stimulating stories, friendly connections, and useful resources for older women who dare to live authentically and unapologetically.
Our style...
Our style is authentic to who we are as older women, so our style is casual and real.
