Fierce, Feisty, and Fine
The Crone Network is connecting women outside of social media with meetups and group gatherings both big and small.
Introverts and extroverts, working and retired, struggling or doing just fine, we all have something in common. We're older women.
We'll also provide useful information like free college courses, workshops, and links to programs that benefit our aging community.
Our non-political Citizen Crone section will empower you with valuable links to legislation that affects older women in the UK, US, and Canada.
We aim to build a community that works together, shares together, learns together, and thrives together.
Welcome to The Crone Network - An emerging social community for older women.
Just the beginning of something wonderful...
Building a Crone Community
Storytelling
Read inspiring stories written by Crones about their own experiences. Authentic, courageous stories to inspire and uplift our spirit as we trip through Cronehood.
Due to the sensitivity of some of our personal stories, this section is is for adults only (see our General Website Use Policy).
The Playground
I donated some time and skills to a local mental health charity that provided creative supplies to vulernable people.
What I learned is that being creative takes our mind off our troubles and allows us to pour our spirit into whatever we're working on. It's quite an uplifting experience, and you don't need to "be talented" to enjoy the benefits of creativity.
The Playground will give your imagination a creative nudge.
Gatherings
Coming soon, real connections with real Crones and older women! Meet for afternoon tea, or have a small overnight gathering in a nearby hotel.
Looking to connect in one of our interest groups? Get together with like-minded women in a travel group or knit blankets for the homeless on a Crone Community project.
The Crone Network will help you get there.
Crones are talking behind our back...
Uplifting comments from our members.
I love the creative prompts! They keep me focused on my work instead of my worries and I always feel better about myself when I'm flexing my imagination.
If you want to find the right lipstick shade or night cream, you're in the wrong place. At The Crone Network, I don't need to fit into a box and I don't need a label. I can just be me.
I've been looking for a space that wasn't about which goddess to worship or what I should wear after age 50. Fuck that shit. I want to talk about about what happened when I stood up to a bully!

FAQs...
Just in case you want to know.
What is a Crone?
Generally speaking, a Crone is a woman past her child-bearing years.
There are several theories about Crones, hags, and so-called "witches" but one thing's for sure, in most ancient cultures, these older women were highly respected for their experience, wisdom, and foresight.
At some point, powerful dudes wanted to steal the influence of these women by creating fear among the villagers who chased the Crones into the woods, telling tales of the wicked women eating little children.
Here in the 21st century, however, Crones are among the most influential groups in the world. In fact, combing the population of women over 50 the UK, US, and Canada alone, there are 87 million us!
The Crone Network was created to bring older women together in a Crone Community. So whether you're a hag, a Crone, a witch, an introvert, and extrovert, and all the verts inbetween. You are welcome here.
What is The Crone Network?
The Crone Network is a self-funded volunteer organisation working to create a community of older women to share personal stories and useful information. Our Phase Two additions will include registering as a charity which enables us to secure funding grants to cover the organisation's expenses and growth. This isn't a money-making scheme, it's a bridge to building a community.
Our future plans include a marketplace to sell handmade Crone goods, a publishing company, free workshop videos, creative prompts, and a library of helpful resources specifically curated for older women.
We build the community with volunteers who want to organise local and regional gatherings called Crone Clusters, and interest-specific "share groups". A Share Group might be for adventure seekers, or maybe a writing group or a group learning a new language. We create what we dream.
There are opportunities for face to face meet-ups and gatherings, both in-person and online. Join our private Facebook group for regular updates on events and more. Connections are a key component of making this community thrive.
We are growing and we need volunteers. The Crone Network offers "time donations" in 2 hour and 4 hour blocks to reduce any stress around volunteering and to ensure you enjoy the time you're donating. There's also space for a couple ladies to join the steering committee which helps develop and grow the organisation.
The Crone Network is a dream trying to come true, but it's not about a single Crone, it's about all of us working together to build something wonderful for ourselves and to help others.
The sky truly is the limit.
A quick note to say...
The Crone Network is for older women but all are welcome to share in our authenticity. We have a lot to offer. But that also means ignorance and abuse won't be tolerated. We might be old, but we'll put you in your place real quick if there's a problem.
Who can join The Crone Network?
This is a women's community but all are welcome regardless of age. A Crone doesn't turn her back on someone who is looking for answers in her words. This space is for introvert and extrovert, left leaning and right leaning, and those who don't lean at all. Truth and respect are pillars of our community so we will not tolerate assholes.
If you're an asshole, please leave now.
What topics does The Crone Network cover?

All topics are open for discussion, as long as they're legal and not abusive.
